55561 Adults Battle of the Bands Monday 20th November at Mr Kyp's, Poole, Dorset at 8pm, we have the winner's gig from our adults battle of the bands from October this year. Playing for your delight and entertainment will be the "lady-slaying party punk" crowd-rocking CLUB LE SHARK, followed by sparkly, happy, shiny popsters NUMIDIAN WISH and the evening will be rounded off by the polished and gleaming performance of electronica-pop-rockstars THE LONGEST DAY. If you are in Dorset, don't miss it!
SOUND Youth Music Festival, Kingston Lacy House, Dorset - 21st July 2007 - auditions have begun!
Audition heats are being held at The Barrington Theatre, Ferndown, Dorset on the following dates...(admission just £2!)Weds 1st November, Tues 21st November, Weds 29th November, Sat 16th Dec, Weds 20th Dec, Fri 2nd Feb, Sat 10th Feb, Sat 17th Feb, Fri 30th March, Tuesday 17th April & Sat 5th May.
If you are aged between 13 and 25 and in a band from Dorset or the surrounding area, please email Dave on accesstomusic@btinternet.com or call on 07913029527 to apply for an audition place.

Amp sessions are temporarily only running every other Sunday in Poole for the winter period. In the spring, it will revert to weekly sessions.

a month in each town/city and hold occasional readings and events
and also publish booklets and occasional anthologies.

Walks with our 2003 Poole Poet Mo Turner to make a book including
maps, routes, history, recipes, poetry and pictures - all to be
completed by Spring 2007.

The Poole Word & Book Festival 2007 is not going to happen - there is no funding.
Launch of Anthology
4/5
will be changed
from the home town of the winner from last year, Andrew Taylor
and moved to Poole in Dorset to co-incide with one of the Poole
Word & Book Festival events. More news to follow. The launch
of Anthology 4/5 will be in Portsmouth or Poole late in 2006.
