The People's Poet is at the cutting edge when it comes to showcasing dynamic and exciting new poets from the UK and overseas - many established poets were read here first!

This is the place to be if you enjoy reading and/or writing poetry - submit your work to enable other site visitors or the panelists to comment on it ....and join in with reading and voting for other writers' work.

We are open to submissions from Site September to 30th June. Over the summer, the site is filled with work published in our journals and magazines to enable selection into our Best Of publication.

Our aim is to support new writers and poetry in its many forms - this is a
Non -Critique
site. All are welcome. If you are a new writer who would like to see what others make of your work, please send it in and take a little time to read and comment on the work of others. If you are an experienced writer, looking for a wider audience, why not submit some work? If selected, you are gaining an audience and possibly helping some good causes along the way.

If you prefer to read, browse freely. We have a few books in our repertoire from ourselves and individual authors, we also have a subscription feature and a shopping page to browse.

For news and special announcements, log on to the Web News page first!

Why not subscribe to The People's Poet? As a paid up member you will become entitled to many fringe benefits. Membership is available to all writers.

We also run community events for many art forms including music.
