Paula's Publishing Website

As a public thank you to some talented artists from different sectors of creativity who have helped us greatly with our previous projects, and as an effort to support collaboration between different kinds of art, I have decided to create three posts for three year residencies at The People's Poet.

  Our Resident Artistes:
Clive Stocker from Bath
Karin Sköld from Stockholm
Richard Markham from Hythe

The first residency period will be from 2004 to the end of 2006 and features three different sectors of art: music, cooking and illustration. We will not have poets in residence as we elect a poet each year to be the People's Poet for that year and we also elect a local poet each year at the Poole Word and Book Festival to be the poet in residence for that festival.

The posts will enable both parties to gain from each other's contribution equally. The People's Poet will work alongside all three artistes and encourage them to participate in current projects as well as creating new projects especially for them. In turn, the residents will gain status and support from their residency here and an extra post to add to their CV as well as, hopefully, inspiration from the projects and the community as a whole. Any resident without their own Website will have one built here for them as one of the benefits.

Please click on any one of the names below to find out more about past, current and future projects with our residents. Each resident has a page on this Website, which links to their own Website.

Post one: Resident Composer.

Clive Stocker from Bath

Post Two: Resident Illustrator.

Karin Sköld from Stockholm - still under construction.

Post Three: Resident Chef.

Richard Markham from Hythe

As the residency period draws to a close, I will be welcoming on board three new residents from different sectors of the artistic spectrup to take on a three year residency from 2007 to 2009. The residencies are for three years to allow plenty of time for us all to benefit fully from each other's work and to allow time for completion of any complicated projects.
