Sunday
9th January - Welcome
back! If anybody noticed that the site was down for three
days - apologies for that! I have renewed the domain after
much chasing around the World to find the correct office to
renew it with and we are back after a lengthy call to Utah
to reinstate our domain name! Glimpses of Notes is being completed
in India by Yann, our typesetter and Cathedral Poems is being
print proofed for the second time after being corrected. The
Winter magazine is being printed after its corrections but
I still have to apologise for the index page, as I have been
advised since sending it to print that the page numbers are
incorrect. Anthology 3 is almost complete and ready to be
checked. I have completed the text poetry competition e-book
from the Poole Word and Book Festival apart from the cover
image, so it should be complete and available to view late
this week. If anyone remembers Sarah Tracy from the early
days at the site, I heard from her on email last night. She
got married in August to Fred and is settled into her new
USA life, although missing her older son in England. The site
is difficult to update until the new broadband is connected
on 13th January but I will do what I can via the web server
itself until then. Launch party for Anthology 3 is on 5th
Feb at the Everyman Bistro below the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool,
so please let me know if you are coming. Don't forget that
it's our awards night and your chance to collect your anthology
without having to pay the postage. We are not ordering food
this year but the Everyman has award-winning food and great
prices. The e-book page has been updated, Poetry Page 5, New
Poetry and the members' downloads and new poetry pages.
Future plans include starting work on Stephen Laskey's Sonnets

and PA equipment, microphones etc. There will be a performance
at the Lighthouse in Poole on 28th May at 2:30pm entry by
donation. The
AMP website has been updated
Monday
3rd January - Happy
New Year everyone! I'm still slaving over a hot scanner with
Glimpses of Notes (99MB per page and my poor computer is struggling
with memory problems - I know the feeling!). I have a meeting
at the care home tomorrow
to show the drawings to the staff. I'm having problems uploading
the web page files so this may take a while to get online.
Thursday
30th December - Hi
all, the news for today is......
Andrew Taylor's Cathedral Poems
are being proofed at the printersto be delivered next week.
There were a few omissions of names on the Winter Journal
so I have had to send the corrections to pess andso it has
been delayed another week. Members may see the uncorrected
draft in the members' area. I am working with Yann, our typesetter
on Anthology 3 and Glimpses of Notes by Alan Corkish. I have
completed the e-book for free viewing by anyone in need of
a positive boost. It is intended to support people suffering
with mental health issues but it would probably work just
as well for anyone feeling like they don't have much confidence
or needing some friendly words. It's free to view here via
this link CLICK
HERE. You can view it in your browser with a pdf viewer.
It is just under 1MB. Karin has sent me the drawings from
the care home project and I will be framing them and completing
the project shortly. More news as it happens.
Sunday
19th December - Hi
again! I'm back in a limited way on dial-up pay-as-you-go
and so normal service will not be resumed until January when
I get the broadband connection back. While I have been "off
air", I have completed the Winter magazine and that has
been sent for a print proof. It has been uploaded in the members'
area for those of you who just can't wait to see it in print!
Cathedral Poems by Andrew Taylor is now with the printer for
a proof. I am working on Glimpses of Notes by Alan Corkish
to complete the typesetting for that and Anthology 3 is well
under way. The cover design is being perfected with art from
Rufus Dawson and the text is about to be proofed. After a
difficult time towards the end of the year we are getting
back on track with the print projects. I have also been working
with Karin Skold on an art and poetry project for a local
care home. We should have that completed shortly. I am also
completing a free e-book for the purpose of supporting people
experiencing a tough time with mental health problems. We
have just judged the txt poetry competition from the Poole
Word & Book Festival 2004 and the winner will be announced
in January, I will also have an e-book completed around that
time to showcase the entries. Early in 2004, I will be working
with Karin and Stephen Laskey on the excellent Sonnets to
Let collection and preparing for the launch of Anthology 3
that was delayed in November. I will also commence work on
the personal collection for Maria Onyango, who won our very
first Whitmarsh Prize for young writers. Anyone who came to
Poole in October for the Poetry Slam will have been treated
to hearing her perform a set way beyond her years. Once I
am back on broadband, I will be able to update the pages again.
Until then, I will make a note here of any news. Have a great
Christmas and let's hope that 2005 is going to be sending
us fewer obstacles! Love to all, Paula.
Thursday
2nd December - I
have added a page online for the notes from the local care
home project click here to
view and all of the images enlarge. I am about to move
house this weekend and will be offline for a short time before
my internet connection is installed. I will be working on
the winter journal behind the scenes.
Sunday
28th November - Anthology
3, the first draft is complete and with the typesetter now.
Apologies for the delay with this and with the theme pages
- family illness, moving house and working on several community
projects has set me back rather a lot. I will endeavour to
complete and update the theme page shortly. Karin has three
drawings well under way for the care home project.
Saturday
27th November - Karin
has been working on drawings for the art and poetry project
in the care home (we really should think of a name for that!).
I have added some new poetry in the members' area and moved
the older work there on to the main website. We have had some
very positive comments back about the art, poetry and music
for the care home on email. Alan Corkish has been broadcasting
on Pirate Radio Erbacce
today.
Friday
26th November - Sent
the pdf file around to everyone involved in the care home
project. I was immensely surprised to find
Clive had improvised some music to go with the project
and will develop it into a cd! The draft working documents
for the e-book project and the care home project are on the
download page in the members' area now. Have a look and see
what you think. The care home project document is only for
our reference as it will become drawings and poetry eventually.

The musicians have been working on some songs for the music
